Spring training battle: Mesa vs. Naples *update* (Something real this time?)

**Breaking News** The Cubs have chosen Mesa over Naples if the Mesa City Council approves their formal proposal in a vote on Monday evening

 There you have it, folks.  Cactus and gila monsters for everyone!

UPDATE:

Dave van Dyke posted an update saying the city council is likely to approve the package...so this would seem to be a done deal.
