Yesterday, the news came out that the Bud Selig want's the Cubs to stay in Mesa. An Arizona news site has stated that a source close to the Crickets has said that the Cubs are 99% sure they will stay in Mesa.
So...there you have it. Yesterday, it's one thing, today it's another...
I believe an announcement will be coming any day now.
Remember, this selection in just the next phase in this process. Arizona will then have to prove the can come up with the money to build the new facility for the Cubs. If they fail to do so, Naples could very well be back in the equation.
Not much else to say about it.
Honestly, this has flipped back and forth so many times, it really doesn't matter who says what now until the real announcement comes. Most of what is being said is just people from both sides trying to give their position "momentum".
