What's happening at the convention?

I'm not at the convention this year, but from various news sources, here are some of the interesting notes to come out of day one.

• The spring training site decision has been delayed. (Cubs.com)
  
• Geovany Soto is down 40 lbs. from last season! (reported by everyone!)
  
• Ted Lilly threw today...no problems (Cubs.com)
  
• Byrd is happy to be here. (chicagotribune.com)
  

Today's sessions should be a bit more interesting as the Q&As with ownership and management will happen.

I'll be working a track meet at U of Wisc this afternoon...when I get back, I'll discuss Soto's shocking weight loss.
