Um, I don't think this rumor has quite got the distance.
Someone somewhere decided to play a bad joke on all of us Cub fans today by suggesting that Jermaine Dye was on the Cubs radar as an option to platoon with K-Fuk this season.
Hahahaha! Funny joke.
Seriously, how could anyone think that this is a good idea.
First, he can't play defense. Period.
Second, is OPS is WORSE than K-Fuk's.
Third, the White Sox need a DH...and they haven't even considered bringing Dye back for that.
Finally, he will cost way too much.
Now I don't know who started this joke...all I know is that I heard it on Mully and Hanley this morning driving to work.
Whoever did make this joke up, please be careful, because Jim Hendry might actually think it's a good idea.
