Cubs Random Thoughts

Not much is happening today except about a bajillion inches of snow falling...

So here are 10 random thoughts:

1. With Holliday signed and a new Pujols contract looming, I wonder if the Cardinals' revenues from their new stadium are giving them a huge cash bump. And I wonder if the same is true with the Brewers.

2. I have this feeling that the new MLB Advisory Committee is going to try to make a big slash at their first meeting next week. Look for some major rule change.

3. The Marlins are out of the Aroldis Chapman sweepstakes. Cheep bastards! The Marlins are an absolute joke.

4. While I believe Barry Larkin and Roberto Alomar must be in the Hall of Fame some day, I'm glad Andre Dawson gets to go in alone. He should have been inducted years ago...so this is fair compensation that he gets the whole day to himself.

5. NCAA National Championship game tonight. *Yawn*

6. I truly believe the Cubs are better right now than they were in 2009. But they are still much worse than the Cardinals. And that's just sad.

7. I'm glad to see the White Sox series at Wrigley this year is on the weekend, unlike last year. WTF was that?

8. And speaking of schedules...I'm fairly sure I could come up with a computer program to create more sane schedules for all of the MLB teams. I think they must use a darts and a blindfold to come up with the schedule right now.

9. I have the deep fear that the Ricketts's will end up being like the McCaskeys.

10. I really hate winter.

Have a good Thursday!
