I'm in meetings all day today, so this will have to be brief.
Well, the winter meetings are over. The rule 5 draft was this morning.
The Cubs did pretty much nothing this week...at least nothing that we saw.
So, if the Cubs are either not willing to eat Bradley's contract, or if no teams want him, (one of those two appears to be true, if not both), then should the Cubs seriously consider trading their other right fielder, Kosuke Fukudome?
Fukudome makes $13 million this year. And no matter what happens, it still looks like the Cubs are in the market for a center fielder. So why keep Kosuke? Yes, the Cubs will have to eat a lot of his contract, like Bradley...but if Bradley is flat out untradeable, then they have to unload one of the two, don't they.
Food for thought.
Back to my endless day of meetings.
