So from what I understand, the Cubs announced that Kerry Wood is coming back at the end of the opening ceremonies at the Cubs convention this evening.
And because Cubs fans don't understand why this team has sucked for so long, they went nuts when Kerry Wood and his projected 0.4 WAR was introduced to the crowd.
I just hope Jed and Theo payed Kerry for the 0.4 wins that he'll contribute and not the $4 million his supposedly was asking for.
My heart is indeed happy to see that Wood will remain in a Cubs uniform. My logical side still sees no reason that he should be on the team, though.
