I’m finally back and my family is now moved into our new house.
The Cubs did a wonderful job ensuring that I didn’t miss a thing as they didn’t show up to virtually any of their games over the last 2 weeks.
So what does this mean?
Well, the truth is that during this time of the year, whether things are going well or poorly, I start to lose focus a bit on the baseball season. It happens every August for me. The trade deadline passes and things just begin to drag.
This year it might be especially bad. But how bad have things gotten for the Cubs? Well, their manager, for the second time in 2 weeks has decided he stand watching this train wreck. Their first baseman is wishing he hadn’t turned down that trade to the Angels and he is now left the team. Their catcher decided he didn’t want to catch Carlos Zambrano, so he decided to hurt himself.
There is so much to discuss…so much to complain about.
So let it begin!
