Zambrano eliminates cutter and wants to be good again.

A number of people reported yesterday that Carlos Zambrano will be eliminating his cut-fastball from his repertoire.

Thank goodness.

That cutter has been nothing but problems for Z, and I think it affected his pitching motion too, turning him into more of a side-arm pitcher.

If Z can stay on top of his pitches, and get the sink back on his fastball and slider, he could be quite dominant this season.

And hopefully this new attitude will carry through for the whole season as well.

With Lilly questionable and Harden gone, Z must step up this year.
