Grabow earns his salary for 1/3 of an inning

 The Cubs bullpen tonight.

Well, 0-2.

Cubs lose.

But the truth is, the team played a lot better tonight.

They only allowed 3 runs. So that's good, right?

Dempster pitched extremely well. He only allowed one run in 6 innings of work. Future Hall-of-Famer, Sean Marshall was very good again pitching a solid inning in the 7th.

Then Grabow.

The Cubs had a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 8th inning. Grabow amazingly got the first hitter to ground out. Then Martin Prado hit a long 390 ft double off the wall in left center, and Chipper Jones follow that with a 410 ft homer to left center.

Billy Wagner finished the game in relatively easy fashion with 3 strikeouts (and a Soriano dink single in between the first two outs).

While the Cubs did score two runs, they were unearned, and they didn't muster up much else on offense.

0-2

Yep. The first game was ugly. This one was painful.

Tomorrow? Another good young Braves pitcher, Tommy Hanson, goes against Randy Wells. Yea. How exciting.

This is Randy Marsh, Randy Wells's father.

Yeah, I know I'm being a bit negative right now.  It will pass.  I'll take my medication, and I'll feel better in the morning.
