He is a Cuban defector.
He defected last April.
He is believed to be 20 or 21 years old.
According to Carrie Muskat, the deal won't be finalized for a few more weeks. He has to take a physical. MLBTRs reports that it could be a $250K deal.
I don't know much about him...but he is from Cuba, and he is a right handed pitcher...and he reached 93 on his fastball in a 2 inning session he did for the Cubs last month.
If it really is that small of a deal, I like it.
I'm not sure if he'll amount to much at all if he even makes it to the major leagues, but I like the fact the Cubs have continued to scout out players from all sorts of different sources.

Nothing too major...MLBTR has a source that confirms the deal is done. Also, Serrano's age is 22.
