An update from my post last night.
According to Carrie Muskat, the Mesa officials will get to meet with the Cubs on Friday. The hope for them is that the Cubs will narrow down the possible locations of a ST site to one or two places which will allow the Mesa officials to lay out a detailed plan to present to the Cubs.
The tone of Carrie's blog post made it feel like the Mesa officials were acting out of a bit of panic, but maybe that's just me trying to read too much into the short clip.
