Let us pray...for a good center fielder.

Dear God,

Thank you for blessing us all with the trade of Milton Bradley to the Mariners.  Granted, I don't really want Carlos Silva, but you do work in mysterious ways...so I'll trust that you have a plan for him, because I'm not sure Jim Hendry actually has one.

But more importantly, the time has come for us to get a center fielder.  You are all powerful, so please send some of that power to Jim Hendry so he can acquire a center fielder that can hit, run and field. 

Almighty Lord, please make sure that our center fielder can actually play center field.  May Left Fielder/DH Scottie Pods sign with another team like your Holy Choir of Angels of Anaheim.  May Rickie Ankiel sign with your Holy Messengers of Saints in St. Paul. 

Please either guide to us another outfielder from Texas or one that is actually a breakfast cereal or even one named after a great mathematician .  Please leave options open such as a trade to accomplish this crusade. 

But, Lord, just bring us a center fielder.  One who doesn't beat women.  One who knows how to play the game well.  One who will actually enjoy playing in Chicago. 

That's all we really need...well, that and I could use a million dollars.
