player 2:

career AB/HR: 43.2
previous season BA: .296
previous season OPS: .812
previous season HR: 13
previous season RBI: 74

Can you guess who the players are and from what previous season I'm referring to?
Well, player 1 is Marlon Byrd after the 2009 season with Texas and when he signed a 3 year, $15 million contract with the Cubs.
Player 2?
Mark DeRosa after the 2006 season with Texas when he signed a 3 year, $13.5 million contract with the Cubs.
And the DeRosa signing did work out pretty well.
