A quick post:
Today it was reported that Ted Lilly had arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder yesterday and may not be ready to go at the beginning of next season. It sounds like he will not be able to throw for 4 months, and then he'll have a bit of work to do to get the strength back up to be ready to pitch again.
To this I say...WTF! Why wasn't this done a month ago? It was well reported that Lilly has had some problems with that shoulder for a good part of the 2009 season and in fact missed a few starts because of it.
I sure hope there is a little more to the reasoning here, but it's a bit disappointing that the most consistent (and bad ass) pitcher over the last two seasons for this team may miss the first month of 2010. And that is really big considering I feel it is important for this team to get off to a really hot start next season.
After Soriano put off, for most of the season, having his knee taken care of, I really start to wonder if the training staff and team doctors are either doing a disservice in not trying to fix these problems earlier, or if there is a bigger influence that is guiding these things.

Hey...Ted Lilly was going to single-handedly make the push for the Cubs to make the post-season.
Actually, the whole budget for next year's team is ruined now considering I had Lilly pretty much playing every position. Now they have to go out an actually get some players.
But we should never doubt the wisdom of Lilly...he has a master plan here.
I'm shocked that you didn't include on the "CDE" Translator (NP) Neifi Perez, another POS (no translator needed).
Oh...I have a whole list of them guys that I haven't gotten to yet. Jason Marquis, Neifi, Michael Barrett....
